[LAUREN’S TWITTER] @LaurenCohan and her support for the “Atlanta Music Project”, LET’S DONATE!

Lauren on Twitter: “Hi guys, there is a group in Atlanta doing really good work that I’m excited about and wanted to share with you. The Atlanta Music Project teaches music to kids in communities where they are otherwise not getting access to these lessons. If you can spare $5 and just a few minutes to contribute to their AMPlify fund it would mean the world to them and to me. Please head to amplifyatl.com  to help them launch. Love from me!”

What’s their story?! Founded in 2010, the Atlanta Music Project (AMP) provides intense music education for underserved youth right in their neighborhood. AMP is a non-profit organization and all donations, including those going towards this fundraiser, are tax-deductible.  AMP currently runs three after-school youth orchestra sites in inner-city Atlanta, providing 110 students with over 300 hours of stellar music instruction and performance opportunities annually. Teaching Artists, instruments, classes and performance opportunities are all provided free-of-charge.

Like Lauren has said, this fall, AMP will expand to launch AMPlify, the all-choral program of the Atlanta Music Project.  AMPlify will give 50 elementary school students in Atlanta’s Mechanicsville neighborhood the opportunity to be a part of an intense after-school choral program, learn to read and write music, develop vocal technique… perform choral concerts all over Metro Atlanta and become role models for their peers, families and communities.

They need to raise $20,000 to launch this wonderful project….

By now we have donate $6,927… 25 days left, COME ON!!!
